hi! its’s nice to meet you.

emajen (pronounced 'imagine') is a pittsburgh-based accessories brand founded by Jennifer Barkley in 2014. her path to this creative business was anything but typical. after earning her cpa, she worked in finance & strategy for 15 years for american eagle outfitters, white house|black market and ernst & young/EY. her earliest aspiration was to be a designer though, and she eventually was inspired to pursue that dream.  Jen's design vision is fueled by her desire to create something colorful & modern, with a vintage feel. her attention to detail is evident in the quality of the products & customer service. everything is handcrafted in her home-based design studio. so what is behind the name 'emajen'? it's a play on the word 'imagine' and everything you can imagine...dreaming big! 'Jen' is also embedded into the name, and the 'e', 'm', 'a', and 'j' that begin emajen stand for ella, mia and jay (her daughters & husband).as a mother & a creative entrepreneur, jen now aspires to empower her girls (and ALL girls) to dream big & work hard. find inspiration & keep it close to you. be brave. stay positive. and don't ever give up!

ChadTough Foundation

we are proud to feature & support the ChadTough Defeat DIPG Foundation in their mission to find a cure for DIPG (Diffuse Intrinsic Pontine Glioma). brain tumors are the leading cause of cancer-related deaths in children under the age of 10 and a 0% survival rate is not acceptable. no parent or sibling should ever have to hear this. join us in making a donation to help fund additional research grants. doctors now say a cure will be found in our lifetime...be a part of making that happen! learn more about the incredibly courageous 5-year-old Chad Carr and his battle with DIPG at www.chadtough.org.
